Call to Order
The first meeting of the 2024-2025 year was held at the National Weather Service office in Jackson. The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by President Daniel Lamb.

Recording Secretary Allen Lieberman took note of the number present. In total, there were 21 attendees, including 11 virtually.
Minutes Approval
Recording Secretary Allen Lieberman summarized notes from the previous meeting in March in which Logan spoke about his experience with being struck by lightning.
New Business
There were no changes to the treasury, and dues were not collected at this meeting pending discussion among the officers.
Daniel solicited interest for officers, volunteers are equally welcomed. He will send out election forms and position descriptions.
Wxlogic introduced their new camera equipment and weather alert system to the club. Brett Adair, CEO of WxLogic, kicked off the meeting, and Drew Richard, Austin Denzel, and Tyler Youschak talked about the technical aspects of the camera equipment. Drew Richards gave presentation of their camera deployments around the country, including a camera for a fire department in Colbert County, Alabama, an EMA camera in Laurel, Mississippi, and deployable remote cameras for tropical systems.
https://hazcams.com/ is the website to view camera and sensor capabilities. The site provides a dashboard approach to view multiple cameras at one time. The interface for viewing and maintaining the systems is web browser-driven. The entire system is extremely reliable, most downtime is when internet service was interrupted. Austin Denzel demonstrated the DVR feature of WxLogic, showing damage being recorded by a camera even though the camera got inundated by water. Timelapse capability is built into the cameras system.
