The business session began with officer nominations and elections. The following is our new officer line-up:

NWA:
President: Joanne Culin
Vice-President: Jason Brand

AMS:
President: Alan Gerard
Vice-President: Vincent Webb

Treasurer: David Cox
Recording Secretary: Eric Carpenter
Corresponding Secretary/Digital Outreach: Daniel Lamb

Following the elections, we discussed ideas for potential meetings and speakers. Some of these ideas included:

-TV stations, local, NWN, TWC
-Liaison office between the NWS and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers MS Valley Division
-DEQ
-Fire Weather experts, IMET
-National Data Buoy Center

This was followed by discussion about having more daytime meetings. Past daytime meetings were a nice change of pace and allowed greater participation from those who normally cannot make it to evening meetings.

Finally, dues were collected ($80) and this added to the initial balance of $130 gave us a total of $210 in the treasury. Regular membership dues remain $20 and student membership dues are $10.

Adjournment
The meeting concluded at approximately 8:00 pm and it was adjourned.

Minutes submitted by Eric Carpenter, Recording Secretary.
