The meeting was held at the Medical Center Branch of the Deposit Guaranty Bank in Jackson. Captain T.A. Turner, Director of Aviation for the city of Jackson was the guest speaker.
The recently formed Central Mississippi Branch of the American Meteorological Society held its regular December meeting at the Medical Center Branch of the Deposit Guaranty Bank.
Donald B. Munro, Meteorologist in Charge of the Jackson Weather Bureau presided and introduced the speaker of the evening, Captain T.A. Turner, Director of Aviation for the City of Jackson. Turner gave a progress report on the development of the new jet age airport soon to be in operation in Rankin County. The Jackson weather station will be moved to new quarters in the terminal building when operations begin.
